barry greer - ceo
while attending ohio state university, and after serving a three year apprenticeship in marble, tile, and terrazzo,
barry started greer tile company in 1968.
he continued to build the tile business while working as a fireman paramedic in columbus ohio,
and relocated to pompano beach florida in 1973 to help start another paramedic program.
the tile business grew so large that barry had to retire from the fire department in 1979.
a 15,000 sq ft office and warehouse complex was built in 1980 to house the growing business.
the warehouse included a complete marble fabrication shop and showroom to compliment the tile installation side of the company.
barry has supported the industry by providing educational opportunities in apprenticeship programs; atttending seminars,
lectures, and conventions; and continueing to update his education in the tile industry.
he has also been called upon from time to time to serve as an expert witness for numerous large cases.
during the past
years the company has worked in every phase of construction including
interior and exterior including pools, spas, hotels, restaurants, hospitals, nursing homes, schools,
commercial office, retail, malls and all types of residential housing.
greer tile company has completed projects across the united states, mexico, the bahamas, and nigeria, africa.

richard parker - president
richard started with greer tile company in 2003 as a project manager and has since progressed to president of the company.
he is directly responsible for all field operations of our larger projects, and spends most of his time in the field.
growing up on a farm in eastern colorado instilled a work ethic in richard which has proven invaluable for the company.
four years on active duty in the united states army corps of engineers has given him an attention to detail
which has also been a great asset for a finish trade such as ours.
richard deployed with the 55th engineer company to bosnia herzegovina
for seven months in 1996, he is a licensed multi-engine airline transport pilot, he holds a class a commercial drivers license,
and thrives on challenges.
continuing education is incredibly important to be competitive in business today, and richard has helped greer tile company
continue to stay on top of our industry.
sharon arakelov, lead estimator
sharon started with greer tile company in early 2012 as the lead estimator. she is the contact for all new invitations
to bid and is responsible for all pricing and estimating procedures.
sharon earned her bachelor of design with a major in interior design from the university of florida.
she graduated in 2007 and immediately went to work as a designer for a luxury home builder in tampa.
there she used her drafting skills and knowledge of finishes to work directly with clients to design their dream homes.
sustainable construction and design was instilled in her education at uf and sharon took it upon
herself to become a leed accredited professional in 2008.
in 2009 sharon went back to the university of florida and earned her masters of science in
building construction with a certificate in sustainable construction.
she wrote her thesis on the effects of mandated sustainable construction within the u.s. army corp of engineers.
while attending classes at uf sharon's husband joined the army.
immediately upon graduation sharon joined her husband at fort bragg, nc.
there she stayed and volunteered in the family readiness group until her husbands deployment to afghanistan.
the deployment and impending end of army life brought sharon back to florida where she joined the
greer tile company team. her educational background, familiarity with finishes, and computer aided
estimating skills have made her an invaluable member of the greer tile company team.
